Working remotely? Serbia's flat-rate paušal is built for you
A sole trader on the flat-rate (paušal) regime keeps no books and pays a fixed, pre-set tax and contributions — while annual income stays under 6.000.000 RSD. A popular, low-cost base for developers and online services.
Why Serbia
A low-cost base near the EU — set up remotely
15% flat tax
A flat 15% corporate profit tax and a simple flat-rate paušal regime for sole traders. Predictable and low.
Near-EU, not EU
Serbia is outside the EU single market, but sits next to it — with double-tax treaties and a strong, affordable IT talent pool.
Remote setup
Register via the APR with an e-signature (eID) or power of attorney. You never have to set foot in Serbia.

Frequently asked questions
Can a non-resident register a company in Serbia?
Yes. A foreign individual or company (EU and non-EU) can fully own a Serbian d.o.o. (LLC). The setup is remote — you sign electronically with a qualified e-signature (eID) or by power of attorney, so you do not have to travel to Serbia. The minimum share capital is just 100 RSD (≈ 1 €).
Why Serbia and not an EU country?
Serbia is not in the EU single market — be clear about that. What it offers is a low-cost base near the EU: a 15% flat corporate profit tax, a deep IT talent pool, low operating costs and a wide network of double-tax treaties. For many remote founders and IT contractors the flat-rate paušal regime is the real draw.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
Our formation service starts from 24.900 RSD (≈ 212 €), orientational. With electronic filing the APR usually registers a company in 1–3 business days. State (APR) fees are paid separately, at cost. Monthly accounting starts from 6.900 RSD (≈ 59 €).
Is it the d.o.o. or the paušal that suits an IT freelancer?
Many foreign IT contractors register as a preduzetnik on the flat-rate (paušal) regime while annual income stays under 6.000.000 RSD — no bookkeeping, a fixed pre-set tax and contributions. A d.o.o. caps liability and looks more solid to larger clients and investors. We help you choose. See Serbia for IT freelancers.
